How we work: no surprises on the day

Most complaints in this trade come from the same three things: a price that moves, a method that damages the surface, and a mess left behind. Here is how each one is dealt with.

STEP 01

You get in touch

Call or send the form. Tell us roughly what you have and where you are. Photos from your phone help enormously and often mean we can price it without a visit.

STEP 02

We quote it properly

A fixed price for the work described, in writing, with what is included spelled out. No day rates that creep and no surprises when we turn up.

STEP 03

We set up

We bring our own water and power. Borders and planting get wetted down and covered, cars move, and we agree where the run-off is going before a machine starts.

STEP 04

We do the work

Method matched to the surface. You are welcome to watch, and you will be told straight away if we find something you should know about — a cracked slab, a failed joint, a loose bracket.

STEP 05

We finish and check it with you

Joints re-sanded, everything rinsed down and swept, kit away. We walk it with you before we leave rather than sending a text from the van.

Pressure is a tool, not a setting

The single biggest difference between a good exterior clean and an expensive repair is knowing when not to turn the machine up.

Roofs are soft washed

STEP 01

Low pressure and a biocide treatment. High pressure strips the granules off concrete tiles and drives water under the laps.

Block paving gets a rotary head

STEP 02

An even distance across the whole area, so you do not get lance stripes across your drive.

Sandstone and old brick get less

STEP 03

Both are soft and both will pit if hit too hard from too close.

Joints get re-sanded

STEP 04

Taking the sand out and not putting it back is what causes the next problem.

Gutters are cleared from the ground

STEP 05

Vacuum pole and camera. No ladder against your fascia.

You get a number before we start and that is the number you pay. No hourly creep, no invented extras.

Our water, our power

We arrive self-sufficient. Nothing plugged into your house and nothing run off your outside tap.

Right method, right surface

Soft wash where soft wash belongs. High pressure only where the surface can take it. Damage is not part of the service.

Tell us what needs doing

Send a couple of photos from your phone and a rough size. Most jobs can be priced without anyone coming out, and you get a fixed figure back rather than a range.
